The Howard L. Green Humanitarian Award

 Nomination Form and Procedures

Nominees must be individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to furthering humanitarian benefits to society and have brought credit and recognition to his or her industry.  A nominee must have been actively engaged in business, commerce or industry (including the broadcast field) in the State of New Jersey for at least ten years. 

Nominees may be living or deceased, active or retired and demonstrated dedication in furthering philanthropic efforts through a contribution of time, money and talent to deserving charities and community organizations.

Nomination Criteria and Selection Process

Philanthropic

Consistently advanced business, commerce or industry through her/his humanitarian endeavors. 

Leadership

Has demonstrated business acumen, executive ability and promulgating high standards for achievement. 

Professional Integrity

Consistently maintains ethical high standards and sets the best example for others. 

Economic Contribution

Through achievements in his/her business or organization, contributed to advancing New Jersey’s economy. 

Achievement of National Significance

Received recognition on a national level for professional and/or personal achievement. 

Selection Committee: The Selection Committee is appointed by the New Jersey Broadcasters Association to evaluate and determine qualified nominees for the Howard L. Green Humanitarian Award.  Designated nominees are passed to the NJBA Board of Directors for the final vote.  A nominee who attains a vote of two-thirds of the Board members will be awarded the Howard L. Green Humanitarian Award at the Best of the Best Awards luncheon June 3, 2008 at Caesars Atlantic City.  All voting by the Selection Committee and the Board will be by secret ballot.  Neither the Selection Committee or the Board of Directors is authorized to submit candidates.
