NJBA Audience Research Project Is Completed Last year, the NJBA Board off Directors decided to find out what makes residents of New Jersey tick. We were interested in why they live here, how they spend their time, what media they employee and why, and a lot about their life style. The Board selected Edison Research to conduct the survey and the results were presented to the survey committee, headed by Josh Gertzog. A presentation will be made at the Mid-Atlantic Conference by Tom Webster, VP of Edison Research at 8:45 am, detailing highlights of the study. This study is shocking in some ways, and routine in others. Generally, it tells broadcasters what New Jersey audiences want from their media and offers direction on how to satisfy local needs. Since perception is reality, this session is an absolute must for all personnel that work in broadcasting, in the state. If you miss this session, you will be missing a lot, and will be giving your competitor a major advantage. One of the major areas covered is programming. It highlights some conventional programming thought, that isn’t true. This must session will be offered on a first come basis, so be sure and get there early to guarantee a seat. New PEP Program To Air The Department of
Environmental Protection is asking the NJBA to help alert citizens in
the State to the problems that exist with the newly awakening Black Bear
population. The bears have been sleeping the winter away. Now they are
waking up and looking for food. The spots urge residents not to feed the
bears and to make sure that bird feeders, garbage cans, and outdoor
grills don’t have any food that bears could get. It is very important
that the spots, a :60 and 2 :30’s be downloaded from our website and
start to be played immediately. We really need to alert the public as
the bears wake up and stay to hunt for food. Please run spots promoting the Howard L. Green Humanitarian Award as often as possible. Thanks! Reminders: Keep your FCC inspection up to date.
