The Edison Research Survey commissioned by the NJBA is being reproduced and will be sent to station cluster managers and independent Station Managers early next week. The entire survey is confidential, and cluster managers are expected to hold the survey close to the vest, while still discussing it with station staff, including programmers. Meanwhile, NJBA is busy putting a meeting together so the rest of the survey can be presented to effected station personnel.

Details of the meeting will be announced shortly. Only station personnel will be permitted to attend. Further, all stations sending people must be NJBA members in good standing.

Arbitron Locks Down Numbers

Numbers being gathered in Houston using Arbitron’s People Meter are being locked down by Arbitron and not being distributed to clients. All Arbitron Houston People Meter numbers are embargoed pending additional quality controls, according to the company. Meanwhile, In New Jersey, The NJBA is currently talking to Arbitron regarding its switchover to people meters in some places in New Jersey and not in others. The notion that people meters are superior to the diary method should require that all responses be gathered by people meters.
